This paper was produced for Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership and aims to provide an overview of deprivation within the district. It includes an analysis of the Indices of Deprivation 2004, Census 2001 and Crime. Through a series of tables and thematic maps the most deprived areas within Suffolk Coastal are highlighted and ranked within a regional and national context.

Indices of Deprivation 2004: Suffolk's SOAs Mapped to Wards

This reports shows the 2004 Indices of Deprivation mapped to ward level for Suffolk. At the local level the 2004 Indices were published at Super Output Area (SOA) level unlike previous indices which were made available at ward level. EEDA, using a 'best-fit' approach, have mapped all the region's SOAs to wards - this report represents all Suffolk's SOAs mapped to wards. The analysis includes the overall index of deprivation as well the seven individual domains. See guidance notes for further information.

Index of Multiple Deprivation in Suffolk

This report aims to give an overview of the Index of multiple deprivation results for Suffolk. Section 2 focuses on the level and distribution of the deprivation in the county according to the combined index. This is followed by a description of each constituent domain, and interpretation of how each aspect of deprivation is distributed across Suffolk, in section 3.
